The Ziggurat Group is dedicated to helping children and families to improve their lives. We offer psychological and assessment services and emphasize practical solutions. We believe that families and schools are keys to healthy development.
The Ziggurat Group is a private practice located in Plano, Texas.
Drs. Aspy and Grossman are licensed psychologists and authors.
We work with a team of professionals from a variety of fields in order to provide higher quality assessment and intervention services. Drs. Aspy and Grossman and their colleagues specialize in assessment and intervention of autism spectrum disorder.
The name "Ziggurat" came from the title of Drs. Aspy and Grossman's book - The Ziggurat Model.

RUTH ASPY, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in private practice with the Ziggurat Group. Dr. Aspy specializes in assessment and intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorders. She is co creator of a comprehensive model of intervention. Along with Dr. Barry Grossman, Dr. Aspy has written The Ziggurat Model, winner of the 2008 ASA award for outstanding book of the year. Dr. Aspy speaks internationally. She has experience in both the clinic and school settings. |

BARRY G. GROSSMAN, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and author. He specializes in assessment and intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Grossman, along with Dr. Aspy, wrote The Ziggurat Model—a book on designing interventions for students with Asperger’s Disorder and high-functioning autism. He and his co-author present on this model nationally. The Ziggurat Model has been adopted at the district-wide and state-wide levels. |

BRENDA SMITH MYLES, PH.D. a consultant with the Ziggurat Group and the Education and Treatment Services Project for Military Dependent Children with Autism, is the recipient of the Autism Society of America’s Outstanding Professional Award, the Princeton Fellowship Award, and the Council for Exceptional Children, Division on Developmental Disabilities Burton Blatt Humanitarian Award. Brenda has made over 500 presentations all over the world and written more than 150 articles and books on ASD including Asperger Syndrome and Difficult Moments: Practical Solutions for Tantrums, Rage, and Meltdowns (with Southwick) and The Hidden Curriculum: Practical Solutions for Understanding Unstated rules in Social Situations. In addition, she served as the co-chair of the National ASD Teacher Standards Committee and was a member of the National Institute of Mental Health’s Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee’s Strategic Planning Consortium. Myles is also on the executive boards of several organizations, including the Organization for Autism Research and ASTEP – Asperger Syndrome Training and Education Program. In addition, in the latest survey conducted by the University of Texas, she was acknowledged as the second most productive applied researcher in ASD in the world.

AMANDA BRIDWELL, M.S.,CCC-SLP earned her masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Women's University. She has extensive experience working in the public school setting and serves on specialized autism and preschool assessment teams. Amanda is the proud

DEBRA GOMEZ, PH.D. is a consultant with the Ziggurat Group. She has over a decade of experience working with children and their families. Dr. Gomez has successfully treated children and teens struggling with a variety of adjustment and childhood disorders. Dr. Gomez is a strong advocate for parents of children receiving special education services. She has trained and supervised doctoral interns and post-doctoral practitioners for many years. Dr Gomez recognizes how important knowledgeable, effective, and supportive services are to children and their families. |

KRYSTAL HAMRE, M.S., OTR earned her master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University - Boston School of Occupational Therapy. She has a degree in Child Development from the University of Kansas. Krystal has experience in the school setting, private clinic, private home-based therapy, early childhood intervention, and hippotherapy. Krystal has an area of speciality in the area of autism including team evaluation and intervention. Krystal has a special interest in nutrition and wellness. She enjoys speaking and training on topics such as handwriting, finemotor development, sensory processing in the classroom, and family nutrition. Krystal loves being the mother of two amazing boys. |

SUSAN JAMIESON, M.Ed. is a Registered Professional Educational Diagnostician who has worked in Special Education in the state of Texas for over 35 years. She served as a Special Education Administrator for twenty years. Susan has also worked as a special education teacher and as an educational diagnostician with students 3-21 years. She has experience with team evaluations specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Susan received her Masters of Education and various educational certifications from Texas Woman’s University. |

ANN MCKEEVER, M.A. has worked in the field of special education and general education for over 25 years. Ann has experience as a special education teacher, educational diagnostician, elementary school counselor, and special education administrator. Ann is skilled in facilitating development of productive relationships between parents and IEP teams. Ann also specializes in team evaluations of suspected autism spectrum disorders, improving social competence through group and community activities, and helping young adults transition from high school to post high school settings. Ann is dedicated to bringing the benefits of her therapy dog, Rosie, to her work with individuals on the autism spectrum. Ann lived in Japan for nearly four years. She evaluated and worked with individuals from the international community of Tokyo who were identified with autism spectrum disorders and students with other complex challenges. Ann received her master’s degree from University of Houston at Clear Lake City with additional graduate studies at Texas Woman’s University.

ANGELA MEDRANO, M.O.T., OTR is an occupational therapist. She has worked extensively in pediatrics in the clinic, hospital, and school settings. One area of specialty is autism assessment and intervention. Angela is SIPT (Sensory Integration
and Praxis Test) certified and specializes in the treatment of sensory processing disorders.

SARAH WELBOURNE, M.Ed. earned her Bachelors degree from Baylor University and her Masters degree from the University of North Texas. She has worked in the education field as a general educator, special educator, and educational diagnostician. Sarah specializes in autism team assessments as well as educational and intellectual assessments for school-age children. Sarah's joy in life is being a mother. |

ROSIE, is in training to become a valuable member of the Ziggurat team. She is a golden doodle with a gentle and respectful personality. Her trainers have stated that she has the characteristics necessary to meet all standards for service as a certified therapy dog. Rosie is looking forward to working with the Ziggurat Group and to improving the lives of others.
